Volunteer accountant for assistance to refugees
The Social Service of the Greek Council for Refugees expresses the request to cooperate with accountant/s who would like and have the time to assist in completing the tax returns of vulnerable cases we face daily. Since the paycheck is now a necessary justification for all social provisions (“social grocery”, request for accommodation in hostels, welfare benefit), we find that many refugees fail to enjoy these benefits because they don’t have the financial capacity to pay the amount needed to an independent accountant. For this reason, we ask for the help of people who have tax knowledge and wish to offer a bit of their time and knowledge to refugees!
